About Our Eye Clinic in Ponoka

Born and raised in Ponoka, Dr. Stephanie Rowland is proud to serve the community she has always called home. After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Calgary, she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo. Now back in Ponoka with her family, she combines her professional expertise with a strong commitment to local care.

Dr. Rowland is passionate about helping patients of all ages maintain their vision and eye health. Outside the clinic, she stays active with running, skiing, hiking, and biking. She has completed a full marathon and several half-marathons and relay races. She and her husband are raising their young daughter in Ponoka, close to both sides of their extended family.

Community involvement is also close to her heart. Dr. Rowland volunteers with the Ponoka Arts, Recreation, and Cultural Society (PARCS), helping to fundraise for public projects like the new disc golf park at Rotary Park. Through her practice and volunteer work, she’s committed to supporting the health and growth of her hometown.

Dr. Nicholas Grant is the proud owner and an optometrist at Hometown Vision, bringing both expertise and a strong sense of community to the practice. Born and raised in Alberta, Dr. Grant attended high school in Ponoka and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Calgary. He went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University in Oregon.

When he’s not in the clinic, Nick enjoys staying active with men’s night golf, curling in town, running, and exploring the outdoors. He and his wife love spending time together as a family with their daughter and their dog, Gus, whether that’s adventuring outside or enjoying a quiet evening at home.
